AN ADDITIONAL MARINE-GRADE CLEAR COAT SEALANT WILL BE REQUIRED FOR SOME ITEMS UNDER EXTREME CONDITIONS - All of our powder coats are good for normal indoor/ outdoor use, but if your item will be in prolonged direct sunlight (for example beach or desert), or if you live within 75 miles of a saltwater environment, you will need an additional marine-grade clear coat sealant if this item will be outside. OPTIONALLY BUT NOT REQUIRED FOR NORMAL OUTDOOR USE, if you'd like to add a clear coat to extend the normal life of the color, the clear coat can also be added to your item if you desire. This clear coat sealant is available in our shop for $12.00 and is a baked-on powder coat finish. We apply this coating to your item in-house before we ship your item to you, NO PHYSICAL PRODUCT WILL BE MAILED.

Saltwater is a known corrosive - it will deteriorate ---ANY --- finish over time - additional clear coating may be required if the item has been damaged or if the Salt spray is deteriorating the finish.


Please note as part of routine maintenance you will have to apply a clear coat on a regular basis in a saltwater environment.
Saltwater is a known corrosive and will require additional clear coats at least once a year to maintain the finish ( possibly more often in some cases). By purchasing this clear coat it does not extend any warranties and the customer is responsible for all maintenance. Clear coats will still need to be applied yearly this is just the starter coating.
